Sign the petition to improve access to physical therapy in Texas

If you've ever visited a physical therapist in Texas, you've had to first get a referral from a doctor or other medical professional before you've been able to go.

Now, that's about to change.

A new bill – called HB1263 – has been put in front of the Texas House of Representatives to change how people access physical therapy in the state of Texas. If the bill goes through, you will be able to see a physical therapist without having to first see your physician.

Currently, there are 46 other states that already offer this to its residents – so for Texas to offer it, it would be a huge jump forward in patient care!

After all, there are a number of patients who simply go to see their doctor because they know the referral to see a physical therapist. This would help cut down on healthcare costs and also improve the quality of care – helping you get better faster and with less steps in the process!

So, how you can help? Visit this site and sign the petition for HB1263. You can also use this resource to contact your elected officials to help spur more support.
